First, the appearance of the inspection

Clean up the weld: before inspection, the weld surface should first be removed from the slag and spatter to ensure that the weld is clearly visible.

Visual inspection: use the naked eye or with the help of magnifying glass and other tools, the weld and heat-affected zone for careful observation. Focus on checking for cracks, pores, slag, arc pits and other defects.

Specific area inspection: pay special attention to the bottom ring wall plate and edge plate joints near the bottom of the tank side of the inner fillet weld. When the thickness of the rim plate is equal to or greater than 10mm, the weld should have a smooth transition and no sharp corners.

Second, non-destructive testing
