The situations where enamel reaction vessels are not suitable mainly include the following:
1. High temperature environment:
The maximum working temperature of enamel reaction vessels is generally limited to around 180 ℃. If the reaction temperature exceeds this range, such as when used at temperatures of 200 ℃ or higher, it may cause the enamel layer to burst, leading to dangerous accidents.
2. Strong acid-base environment:
Enamel reactors have no corrosion resistance to hydrofluoric acid and media containing fluoride ions at any concentration and temperature.
Under specific concentration and temperature conditions, such as strong acids like hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and strong alkalis like sodium hydroxide, enamel reaction vessels may also experience corrosion or damage.
Especially when the pH value of the alkaline medium is greater than and the temperature exceeds 80 ℃, the enamel layer will not be corrosion-resistant.
3. High pressure environment:
Enamel reaction vessels are usually only safe to use within a certain pressure range. If excessive pressure is generated during the reaction process, it may cause the reactor to rupture, resulting in serious safety accidents.
4. Alternating reaction of acidic and alkaline materials:
In an enamel reaction vessel, if acidic and alkaline materials react alternately, it will cause great damage to the reaction vessel because the enamel layer is easily corroded and damaged in this case.
5. Severe temperature changes:
During temperature fluctuations, the enamel reaction kettle may experience excessive stress due to the different coefficients of linear expansion between the enamel and the metal substrate, leading to porcelain explosion and equipment damage.
In summary, enamel reaction vessels are not suitable for use in environments with high temperature, strong acidity and alkalinity, high pressure, alternating reactions between acidic and alkaline materials, and drastic temperature changes. In order to ensure safe production and long-term stable operation of equipment, suitable reaction equipment should be selected and operating procedures should be strictly followed.
