The purpose of this process is to polymerize AM into high molecular weight PAM colloid under the action of initiator, and carry out hydrolysis reaction in the same polymerization kettle to achieve the required degree of hydrolysis. After the AM solution was put into the polymerization kettle, the O2 in the solution was removed with pure N2(99.99%), and then various initiators were added according to the predetermined program and amount to carry out the polymerization reaction. The reaction process did not need temperature control. After the polymerization reaction is completed, hot water is passed into the jacket of the polymerization kettle for heat preservation and hydrolysis reaction.

PAM Colloidal granulation

The purpose of this process is to cut the gum block PAM into 3-6mm pellets. PAM colloid is pressed into the storage tank by air from the polymerization kettle, and then pressed into the pelletizer from the storage tank. The screw in the granulator transmits the colloid from the feeding port to the cutter hole, at the same time, the colloid is extruded from the cutter hole to form a thin strip by the pressure of the screw, and then the rubber strip is cut into particles by the rotary cutting TJ knife matched with the cutter hole. Through the granulator, the granule size of about 3-6mm can be obtained, and then the granule is fed into the dryer by pneumatic conveying.

PAM Drying

The purpose of this process is to change the PAM colloid into a solid granular PAM, which reduces its water content from 75% of the colloid to 10% of the solid PAM. The dryer is divided into two sections, the first section is dried with hot air at 110-120 ° C until PAM contains about 25% water, the second section is dried with hot air at 90-70 ° C until PAM contains 10% water, and then cooled to 55 ° C. Drying is divided into two production lines, one line scale 6500t/a, using domestic development products; The other line scale 13500t/a, using imported equipment. The NH3 and H2O vapor produced by the drying process is discharged into the air.
