Glass lined double cone dryer

Glass lined double cone dryer is a highly efficient drying equipment specially designed for use in chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. It combines the corrosion-resistant properties of glass lining and the advantages of double cone structure, capable of handling materials that are corrosive or sensitive to metal ions, while providing uniform heating and high efficiency drying effect. The following is a detailed introduction about glass lined double cone dryer:

1. Structural features

Double conical vessel: adopting double conical design, so that the material can be evenly distributed in the vessel, increasing the contact area between the material and the heating surface and improving the heat transfer efficiency.

Glass-lined coating: the internal surface is coated with a glass-lined layer, which has excellent chemical resistance and can resist the erosion of most acids, alkalis and solvents, and is particularly suitable for handling corrosive materials.

Vacuum system: Many models can be operated under vacuum conditions, which reduces the drying temperature, protects heat-sensitive materials and accelerates the evaporation of solvents.

Transmission: The vessel is driven to rotate by a transmission system consisting of a motor and a reducer to ensure that the materials are well mixed during the drying process and to avoid localised overheating.

Heating system: usually use jacket heating mode, can be heated by steam, hot water or heat-conducting oil to adapt to different drying needs.

Control system: Equipped with automatic control system, it can realise precise control of temperature, pressure, time and other parameters to ensure the consistency of drying process and product quality.

2. Working Principle

Feeding: Wet material enters the double conical container through the feeding port.

Heating and rotating: the container is heated while rotating constantly, so that the material is in full contact with the heating wall to promote the evaporation of water or other solvents.

Vacuum operation (optional): If the equipment is equipped with a vacuum system, drying can be carried out at a lower temperature, reducing the loss of heat-sensitive materials and increasing the drying rate.

Exhaust and collection: Evaporated water vapour and other volatile substances are discharged through the exhaust system, maintaining a dry environment inside the vessel. For some special applications, a condensation recovery unit can be installed to collect valuable solvents.

Discharge: When drying is complete, the material is discharged from the discharge opening, ready for the next step in processing or packaging.
